Curriculum vitae

Ioan Chiurciu

Architecture student with practical experience in construction, woodworking, restoration, 3D modelling, rendering, 3D printing, and photography. My work combines digital design with direct engagement with materials, fabrication, and building processes.

Portrait / working image

Main interest: projects that move naturally between drawing, digital models, prototypes, built objects, and visual presentation.

Profile

Architecture, fabrication, and hands-on work.

Professional summary

I am currently studying architecture at the “Ion Mincu” University of Architecture and Urbanism in Bucharest, with an expected graduation in 2028. I am particularly interested in projects that combine spatial thinking, visual representation, material understanding, and practical construction processes.

My experience spans architectural modelling and rendering, 3D printing, photography, woodworking, construction, and restoration work on traditional timber roofs and heritage structures, alongside roles involving organisation, communication, and coordination.

Experience

Applied work, construction, and design.

Woodworking and timber construction

Experience with woodworking, traditional and power tools, assemblies, roofing, temporary structures, and small-scale hand-built constructions.

Restoration and volunteering

Participation in restoration and heritage projects through Ambulanța pentru Monumente, including shingle roofing, timber structures, scaffolding, and on-site coordination.

3D modelling and visualisation

Architectural modelling, shelter and pavilion proposals, rendering work, and presentation imagery using Rhinoceros 3D, Lumion, and Twinmotion.

Construction and finishing

Work involving drywall, plaster, finishing, material handling, renovation activities, teamwork, and work at height.
